Job Title: Maintenance Helper
Location: Lethbridge
Schedule: 40 hours per week; may occasionally require Saturday and Sunday shifts based on business needs

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent qualification required
- In person interview required
- Requires own transportation, location is not accessible via transit

Principal Responsibilities:

- Follow all safety regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- Adhere to area-specific and plant procedures
- Monitor outside contractors working onsite
- Detect and report maintenance repair needs
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and light repairs (painting, filling crevices, plumbing, electrical)
- Manage and perform routine site landscaping
- Demonstrate willingness and capacity to learn new maintenance functions
- Assist maintenance mechanics with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs
- Possess fundamental knowledge of hardware tools, equipment, and materials (plumbing, electrical, fasteners, etc.)




- Properly care for and respect equipment (power tools, dollies, vacuums, etc.)
- Undertake assigned duties and respond to emergency maintenance tasks
- Operate a forklift as needed
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the work area

Essential Requirements:

- Some experience or training in maintenance
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a chemical operation
- Understanding of proper material handling procedures
- Reliable, dependable, and maintain a positive attitude
