Human Resources Generalist

Cambridge Pro Fab Inc. is looking for an experienced, Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being involved in all areas of Human Resources — from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, performance management, training, health and safety, and day-to-day support for employees and leaders.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your entire day behind a desk. You'll work closely with employees, supervisors and managers across our manufacturing operations and play an important part in supporting our people as Cambridge Pro Fab continues to grow.

Cambridge Pro Fab is expanding our operations with a new facility at 6 Adams St. Paris, Ontario. Our team is actively preparing the space for the next phase of our growth, including new cranes, workstations, tooling and equipment to support increased production capabilities.

Our tentative transition timeline is August–December 2026.

For HR, that means an exciting period of recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, training, employee engagement and organizational growth.

About the Position

Human Resources Generalist

Employment: Full time
Schedule: Monday–Thursday
Hours: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Rate: $58,000 - $63,000

What You'll Be Doing

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, assessments and employment offers
- Partner with operations managers to understand current and future staffing requirements
- Coordinate and participate in interviews with hiring managers
- Maintain recruitment tracking and hiring schedules
- Support headcount planning and workforce projections
- Maintain and update job descriptions
- Coordinate the onboarding process from offer through an employee's first day
- Ensure new employees have the information, equipment, system access and training required to successfully join the team

Employee Relations & HR Support

- Be a trusted and approachable HR resource for employees, supervisors and managers
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters and workplace concerns




- Support managers in addressing performance and attendance issues
- Coach leaders on progressive discipline and effective employee management
- Conduct or support workplace investigations when required
- Assist with promotions, transfers, compensation discussions, development planning and other employee changes
- Support terminations, retirements and offboarding professionally and respectfully
- Help develop clear HR communications for employees and leadership
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records

Health, Safety & Training

Our HR team works closely with operations to help maintain a strong safety culture.

You will:

- Participate in and support Joint Health and Safety Committee activities
- Assist with employee orientation, WHMIS and other workplace training
- Monitor training requirements and ensure required employee training remains current
- Assist with the development and review of health and safety policies, procedures and safe work practices
- Track safety actions and assist in ensuring corrective actions are completed
- Participate in company safety initiatives and employee safety programs
- Assist with WSIB responsibilities, documentation and recordkeeping
- Monitor relevant legislative changes and help ensure company practices remain compliant

What You Bring

- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of Human Resources experience
- Strong experience with full-cycle recruitment; high-volume or manufacturing recruitment is an asset
- Experience supporting the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, investigations and offboarding
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment and workplace legislation
- Experience providing hands-on employee relations support
- Ability to professionally manage sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail




- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working directly with employees and leaders at all levels of an organization
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and changing operational needs
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
- Ability to travel between Cambridge Pro Fab locations as required
