The Atlantic Canada Regional Council of Carpenters, Millwrights and Allied Workers (ACRC) has an opening for a full-time Paralegal (Labour Law).

Are you passionate about fairness in the workplace and committed to protecting workers’ rights? We’re looking for a Paralegal with experience or strong interest in labour law to join our team.

In this role, you’ll support legal counsel and labour relations staff in advancing cases that make a real difference for working people.

WORK LOCATION:
Fredericton, NB

HOURS:
Office hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare, draft, and review documents related to grievances, arbitrations, and labour board matters
- Conduct legal and case research on employment standards, collective agreements, and labour legislation
- Maintain and organize case files, timelines, and correspondence
- Support lawyers and representatives in hearings and meetings.
- Assist with document disclosure, witness preparation, and case summaries
- Provide general administrative and legal support to the EST, managers and legal team.
- Requires travel within Atlantic Canada

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diploma or certificate in Paralegal Studies (or equivalent relevant experience)




- Knowledge of or experience in labour or employment law is an asset
- Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to social justice and equity in the workplace
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems as well as familiarity with Westlaw, LEXUSNEXIS, and/or CanLII
- Must have driver's license
