Our client is seeking a Part-time Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team.

Job Title: Health & Safety Coordinator

Location: Saint John NB

Pay Range: $30-$32.00/hour depending on experience

What’s the Job?

- Oversee HSE activities to ensure legal compliance.
- Perform job exposure analysis to ensure safe work environments according to HSE standards and legislative requirements.
- Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate HSE procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in legislation and Group standards.
- Develop, implement, and oversee Health & Safety programs.
- Ensure effective incident management including incident investigation, root cause identification, prevention plan setting, follow-up, and reporting.
Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections and perform self-assessment and internal audits to comply with local regulations.

What’s Needed?

- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering (or equivalent) and experience of at least 1 year in the role ideally in manufacturing companies
- Knowledge of provincial Health, Safety & Environmental legislation is a requirement.
- Great problem-solving skills
- Cutting-edge thinker
- Team player and relationship-building skills
- Professional Safety designation is preferred and considered an asset
- Technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience




- Proficient computer skills using Excel, PowerPoint and Word
