Job Summary

BM Home Builders is growing and seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. Your energetic approach and keen eye for detail will help ensure our financial operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Duties

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections for multiple divisions
- Utilize Sage 50 accounting software to record transactions accurately
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify financial data integrity
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation to ensure accurate employee compensation
- Conduct regular account reconciliations, including bank statements and supplier statements
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing financial reports
- Maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and financial documents for audit readiness




- Collaborate with the account manager and administrator to resolve discrepancies and improve bookkeeping procedures

Qualifications

- Proven experience with Sage 50 accounting software
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Minimum 2 years of experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, payment processing and bank reconciliation procedures
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards
- Effective communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving

Wage: Based on experience

Schedule: Part-time Monday-Friday, no weekends. 20-30 hours per week.
