We’re a print and digital media company based in Muskoka, home to some of the most influential brands in the region: Cayman Marshall, Dockside, Lakeside and Listings. We’re looking for a true operator to take the reins as CEO.

This is not a figurehead role. We need someone who has already built and run a real business end-to-end. Someone who thrives when decisions have to be made quick and results are the only thing that matter.

What You’ll Actually Do

- Take full ownership of the business: strategy, operations, sales, team, and P&L;
- Roll up your sleeves daily. This is an 8-person company, not a corporate hierarchy
- Drive growth
- Lead and develop a small team while staying deeply involved in the work
- Build systems, fix problems, and ruthlessly prioritize what moves the needle

Must-Have Experience

- Proven track record of building and running a full business (not just a department or function)
- 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience in marketing and media
- Demonstrated ability to grow a company
- Experience operating as the day-to-day leader (COO, President, General Manager, or equivalent) who actually made things happen




- Willingness and ability to relocate to the Muskoka region

What This Role Is Not

- Not a remote or hybrid role
- Not a strategy-only or advisory position
- Not a fit for candidates whose experience is limited to large corporate environments with big teams and big budgets

Compensation
Base salary: $200,000
Equity opportunity after one successful year
