Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and hardworking Bobcat Operator / Concrete Prep Person to join our construction team. In this role, you will operate compact excavators and skid-steer loaders (commonly known as Bobcats) to prepare construction sites for concrete work, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality foundation for various projects. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, concrete preparation, and site prep will be vital in delivering exceptional results on time and within scope. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, contributing directly to the success of each build.

Duties

- Operate Bobcat skid-steer loaders and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently to clear, level, and prepare job sites for concrete pouring and finishing
- Assist with rebar installation, form setting, and layout according to blueprints
- Use hand tools, power tools, and concrete equipment to perform concrete prep tasks such as grading, compacting, and surface smoothing
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to follow project specifications for concrete forms and structural elements
- Perform demolition or removal of existing structures or materials as needed for renovation projects
- Support concrete work, flooring installation, or other related tasks that require concrete finishing expertise




- Engage in heavy lifting and physical labor daily while maintaining safety protocols at all times
- Assist with site clean up and general housekeeping activities
- Perform routine equipment checks/maintenance

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and tools used in concrete prep
- Experience with rebar installation, form setting, and concrete finishing techniques
- Skilled in carpentry/forming, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as skid-steer loaders or mini-excavators
- Understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, construction sites, and equipment operation
- Construction experience with a focus on concrete preferred
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
- Reliable transportation to job sites

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
