The Paint Line Loader/Unloader is responsible for efficiently loading and unloading small parts at the paint line while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This role involves manually hanging parts, preparing components for painting, and ensuring work is completed according to production schedules and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Work at the back of the paint line, manually hanging and unloading small parts.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality requirements before loading onto the paint line.
- Mask and unmask plugs and threaded areas as required.
- Follow production schedules and timelines to meet daily production goals.
- Work efficiently and effectively while performing a variety of tasks.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
- Support and follow 6S and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Complete production and other documentation as required by management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to complete daily crane inspections.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Previous manufacturing or related experience is considered an asset.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), applicable regulations, and company policies and procedures.
- Properly use and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report any violations of OHSA, regulations, or company health and safety policies to the Supervisor.
- Immediately report any observed workplace hazards to the Supervisor.
- Immediately report any risks or potential risks of workplace violence or harassment to the Supervisor.
- Never remove, disable, or make ineffective any protective device without providing an appropriate temporary substitute. Replace the original protective device immediately once work is completed.
- Operate equipment, machinery, and devices safely and in a manner that does not endanger yourself or others.
- Understand and follow all safe work practices and procedures.
- Attend all required Health and Safety training programs, including WHMIS and workplace orientation, and apply the knowledge gained to daily work activities.
Experience
- 6 months to 3 years of related experience is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or production environment experience is considered an asset.
Education
- Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
