Nexgen Building Group is a leading construction company specializing in residential building projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality homes to our clients and are looking for a skilled Residential House Framer at the Journeyman level to join our energetic team.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman House Framer to join our residential construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing the framework of residential buildings in accordance with construction plans, building codes, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate material requirements.
- Frame and construct all aspects of residential homes, including walls, floors, roofs, and staircases.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Ensure all framing work is completed within the specified time frame and quality standards.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other construction professionals, including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and general laborers.
- Train and mentor apprentice framers,
providing guidance and feedback.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and clients to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Residential House Framer, with a minimum of 3 plus years experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction procedures, tools, equipment, and safety practices.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and stand for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in construction or carpentry is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
