Assistant Store Manager – Take 5 Oil Change Ajax

Pay: CA$19.00–CA$22.00 per hour
Schedule: Weekdays, evenings and weekends

Take 5 Oil Change Ajax is hiring an experienced Assistant Store Manager to help lead our team and support daily shop operations.

This is a very hands-on position. The Assistant Store Manager is expected to work directly on customer vehicles alongside the team. This is not an office-only management role, performing oil changes and preventative maintenance services is a core part of the job.

Responsibilities

- Work directly on customer vehicles throughout each shift
- Perform oil changes and preventative maintenance services
- Lead, coach and support technicians
- Train employees and ensure safety procedures are followed
- Recommend appropriate vehicle maintenance services
- Handle customer concerns and act as Manager on Duty when required
- Assist with opening, closing, inventory and daily paperwork
- Maintain a clean, secure and efficient shop

Qualifications

- Minimum 2–3 years of automotive, quick-lube or similar hands-on experience required
- Must be confident servicing common vehicle makes and models
- Must be willing to work on vehicles every shift and lead by example




- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, organized and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence preferred
