Pioneer Craftsmen
Canada
Learn the craft. Build a career.
At Pioneer Craftsmen, we believe great carpenters aren't born—they're developed through mentorship, high standards, and thousands of hours of hands-on experience.
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working with their hands, and takes pride in doing things the right way—not the easy way.
This isn't a general labour position. You'd work alongside experienced Lead Carpenters on residential renovations, learning everything from demolition and framing to finish carpentry, cabinetry, trim installation, and the countless details that separate good work from exceptional craftsmanship.
No two projects are the same, so every day brings new opportunities to build your skills.
If you're enrolled in an apprenticeship program in block 2 or higher, looking for a career where you'll continue learning every day, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
As an Apprentice Carpenter, you'll:
- Support Lead Carpenters with daily construction activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Learn proper construction methods and company standards
- Develop confidence using tools and equipment safely
- Take initiative by anticipating what's needed next
- Ask questions and seek feedback to improve
- Help protect our clients' homes throughout construction
- Represent Pioneer professionally with clients and trade partners
We're Looking For Someone Who...
We can teach carpentry, we can't teach attitude.
You'll likely be successful here if you:
- Enjoy working with your hands.
- Naturally notice the small details.
- Take pride in doing quality work.
- Ask questions because you want to understand—not just complete a task.
- Show up prepared and ready to learn every day.
- Accept feedback without becoming defensive.
- Want to build a long-term career in the trades.
Qualifications
- Completed Level 2 (Block 2) of a Carpentry Apprenticeship (required)
- Interest in residential carpentry or renovations
- Experience using basic hand and power tools
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of lifting and working in a construction workplace
Why Pioneer Craftsmen?
We invest in people.
When you join Pioneer, you'll receive:
- Hands-on mentorship from experienced Lead Carpenters
- Profit sharing program
- Health spending account, heathy living and education allowance
- Company events
If you're looking for more than just another construction job—if you want to learn from experienced craftspeople, develop your skills, and build exceptional spaces—we'd love to hear from you.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
