Creative Therapy Associates

Creative Therapy Associates (CTA) provides individualized, evidence informed services to children, youth, and young adults with diverse learning, developmental, behavioural, and mental health needs. We are committed to a multidisciplinary, relationship centered approach and prioritize respectful, collaborative engagement with the children, youth, and families we serve.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated therapy professionals to join our Remote, Rural, and Virtual Services Team. This role may be suitable for Social Workers, Supervised Behaviour Therapists, Mental Health Clinicians, and other allied health or human services professionals. The position supports children and families in remote and rural communities as well as through secure virtual platforms, and requires flexibility, independence, and a strong commitment to culturally responsive and trauma informed practice.

Clinicians work one to one and in small group settings, delivering services aligned with individualized plans developed by the clinical team. Services may be delivered in homes, schools, community settings, partner facilities, or virtually, depending on client needs and service plans. Clinical supervision and support are provided in accordance with each professional’s scope of practice and regulatory requirements.

All new staff receive comprehensive onboarding and training prior to independent service delivery. A diploma or degree in a related field is required.

Work Performed

- Providing therapeutic and support services to children and youth with a range of developmental, behavioural, and mental health needs in one to one, group, and virtual settings
- Providing trauma-informed,



client-centred, and compassionate care that supports emotional safety and meaningful engagement.
- Implementing intervention or support plans developed by the clinical team within the clinician’s scope of practice
- Supporting skill development across areas such as communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, coping skills, daily living skills, and mental wellness
- Collecting and documenting relevant clinical or session data, as appropriate to role
- Maintaining accurate client documentation and records
- Completing weekly activity, travel, and virtual session reports
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training
- Supporting personal care needs when required, depending on role
- Collaborating respectfully with families, schools, community partners, and multidisciplinary team members across in person and virtual environments

Qualifications

- Post secondary degree or diploma in a human services, social services, mental health, or related field
- Relevant background in areas such as autism services, mental health, behaviour support, child and youth work, social work, counselling, or related practice
- Registration or eligibility for registration with a professional college where applicable (e.g., Social Work, Behaviour Analysis, or other regulated professions)




- Valid Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Strong computer literacy, including Word, Excel, Google Docs, and virtual service platforms

- Ability to build rapport and engage children and youth in a developmentally appropriate and strengths based manner
- Use of compassionate, trauma informed, and evidence informed strategies within scope of practice
- Strong problem solving, adaptability, and clinical judgment
- Ability to manage behaviour and emotional dysregulation appropriately and safely
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight stays when required
