Duties
- Operate cranes such as boom trucks, rigging cranes, and other heavy lifting equipment with precision and safety.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, riggers, and other team members to plan lifts and ensure proper load handling.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane machinery to identify potential issues before use.
- Use communication skills to relay signals or instructions clearly to team members during lifts.
- Assist with rigging operations, ensuring loads are securely attached and balanced for safe lifting.
- Maintain detailed logs of crane operations, inspections,
and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with hands-on crane operation in a busy work environment.
- Valid certification for crane operation, including boom truck or rigging licenses preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous for effective communication across diverse teams.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to cranes and rigging equipment.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients.
