V.I.P. Soap Products Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Full Time Quality Control Assistant in our QC lab. This position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals with a science background and a passion for learning and growth in the field of quality control. As a QC assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our production processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency While prior experience in quality control is desirable, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and develop their skills in this area.
In this role, you will assist with various quality control activities, including sample analysis, conducting tests, and recording data accurately. You will have the chance to work closely with experienced QC professionals who will provide guidance and mentorship as you grow in your role.
We are looking for candidates with ability to adapt, teachable, and attention to details will be essential for success in this position. Additionally, we value individuals who possess excellent problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well within a team.
While prior experience in QC is not required, a genuine interest in quality control, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to upholding quality standards are essential.

Hours:
Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 5:45 am - 4:15 pm
Job Duties:
- Working with Production Supervisor to ensure overall quality remains at the highest level
- Data entry and record keeping
- Take samples of and test all incoming raw materials (chemicals, labels, bottles, etc.) - Inspect final product running on production line for conformance to standards
- Conduct random inspections on finished product stored in our warehouse
- Keep accurate records of all testing and inspections on the computer
- Perform weight checks and leak tests on finished goods
- Perform pre-op check, equipment check, daily yard check
- QA report, Nonconformance report
- Label check, bottle check
- Perform monthly internal premise audit
- Prepare Saline solution for Eye-wash stations
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the lab
- Various administrative duties associated with the QC/QA
- Standing/walking for the majority of the day
Qualifications:
- Willingness to bring up any all issues to supervisors/manager
- Able to handle criticism without taking it personally
- Able to adapt quickly to changing environments/standards
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and analytical skills required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and high accuracy
- Working knowledge of chemical lab procedures and policies
- Must live in the Fraser Valley / Lower Mainland / Vancouver area
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
