About Salient

Salient Design & Exhibits is a Toronto-based trade show booth company handling design, fabrication, installation, storage, and logistics under one roof. We build custom and modular exhibits for clients across the pharmaceutical, medical device, and retail real estate sectors, from concept sketches all the way to a fully installed booth on the show floor. We're a small, tight-knit team where your work has direct, visible impact, and where the right person has real room to grow.

The Role

We're looking for a designer who's equal parts creative and personable: someone with solid SketchUp skills and a confident, client-friendly manner. You'll design trade show booths, produce booth graphics alongside our graphics lead, and coordinate shows for a handful of smaller client accounts, with mentorship and support from our team as you grow into larger ones. We're hiring for the long run: someone who wants to put down roots, take on more over time, and help shape where Salient goes next. What You'll Do

- Design custom and modular trade show booths in SketchUp (3D models, layouts, and renderings)
- Produce artwork templates and basic booth graphics, working alongside our graphics lead
- Coordinate shows for smaller client accounts, communicating with clients, tracking details, and keeping projects on schedule (with support from our team)
- Work with our fabrication, install, and logistics teams to bring designs to life




- Help prepare proposals and client presentation materials
- Support several show projects at once, keeping timelines and details on track

What We're Looking For (Must-Haves)

- Proficiency in SketchUp (3D modeling), this is essential
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator for basic artwork and templates
- A confident communicator who's comfortable talking with clients and coordinating their projects
- A sharp eye for design, layout, and detail
- Organized and reliable, able to juggle several projects at once
- Able to work on-site at our Toronto facility

Nice to Have

- A design-related diploma or degree (interior/spatial, industrial, exhibit, or graphic design)
- Experience or coursework in trade shows, exhibits, retail, or spatial design
- Additional Adobe skills (Photoshop, InDesign) or rendering tools (V-Ray, Enscape)
- Recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply
