Job Overview:
GMCC is looking to bring on two (2) entry-level Material Control Administration Staff to assist with material documentation
This role will report to and take direction from the Project Controls Team. The primary responsibilities for this role include data entry, filing of paperwork, and scanning & merging PDF files.
Responsibilities:
- Assist & support the company’s Project Controls Team and Shipping/Receiving Team in both shop and yard settings as required.
- Process and compile material information including but not limited to: the verification of Mill Test Reports, Calibration Certificates and Client deliveries.
- Ensure materials adhere to Client specifications & Code requirements including, but not limited to: Carbon Equivalency limits, ASME Section 2 and NACE requirements.
- Maintain physical documentation to provide reference for multiple disciplines throughout concurring projects’ scopes.
- Manage digital databases to support company operations and reporting requirements.
- Cross-collaborate between multiple disciplines and teams to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Support other staff members as required with the retrieval of material information, communication of material updates and the – e.g. material non-compliance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED – post-secondary education is an asset
- Entry level role - training will be provided for processes and systems used
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work within deadlines & prioritize tasks to achieve them
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in module assembly yards or industrial construction is considered an asset
Employment Requirements:
- Have driver’s license or transportation to ensure arriving to work on time prior to daily toolbox meetings
- Must be able to take direction from superiors
- Must be able to work by themselves and as part of a team
- Must by physically capable of lifting in excess of 30 Lbs
- Represent themselves professionally with GMC staff and Clients
- Candidates must be from the Edmonton or Fort Saskatchewan area

Pay: $22.15-$24.15 per hour
