Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman/Woman Electrician to join our energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovation and upgrades, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repairs.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment to support industrial operations.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical tasks on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify issues, perform diagnostics, and implement timely solutions.




- Collaborate with construction teams and contractors during new builds or renovations to ensure electrical work aligns with project specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and electrical codes to maintain a secure working environment at all times.

Skills

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems.
- Extensive industrial electrician experience with a strong understanding of electrical theory and applications.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Experience with construction projects involving electrical installations or renovations.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring systems used in security alarms, data networks, or automation controls.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation processes.
- Handyman experience is a plus for troubleshooting various building maintenance issues related to electrical systems.
- Availability to work across Alberta and B.C.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
