We are seeking motivated, safety-focused IRATA Rope Access Technicians to join our growing team. We specialize in industrial rope access projects throughout Ontario and are looking for experienced IRATA-certified technicians who are committed to safety, professionalism, and quality workmanship.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects that require specialized rope access techniques in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform industrial rope access work in accordance with IRATA International safe work practices and procedures.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, repairs, and other technical work in difficult-to-access locations.
- Perform work at height and in confined spaces, as required.
- Complete daily pre-use inspections of rope access equipment and maintain equipment in accordance with company and manufacturer requirements.
- Follow all company health and safety policies, site-specific procedures, and client requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of safety, professionalism, and workmanship on all projects.
- Work effectively as part of a professional rope access team and communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and clients.
- Travel to various job sites and work outdoors in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
- Participate in specialized work including rock scaling, removal of loose or hazardous material from rock faces, and installation of rock bolts, mesh, anchors, and slope stabilization systems, where applicable.
- Experience working on wind turbines is considered an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Current IRATA Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certification.
- Previous professional experience working as a rope access technician is required.
- Valid Working at Heights certification.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safe work practices.
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in challenging environments.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction or industrial maintenance experience.
- GWO Wind safety tickets.
- Experience with rock scaling and rock bolting.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue training.
- Experience working on wind turbines.
- Experience with industrial inspection, maintenance, or repair work.
- Additional trade, technical, or safety certifications.
Please note: Previous professional rope access experience is required. Applicants without prior rope access experience will not be considered.
