Overview

Destiny Care Health Services Inc. is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in Alliston area to provide companion care and support to client in the hospital

This PSW role will focus on assisting client with personal care and daily living activities, the PSW role is centered around supporting individual recovering from stroke and to enhance support and provide quality of life.

Duties

- Assist client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Able to transfer patient from bed to chair or commode and to move patient back to bed using proper healthcare techniques.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to client.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and medication reminders.
- Maintain a clean and secure environment for client.
- Document care and report any changes in client 's conditions to supervisor.
- Other minor healthcare duties and personal care assistance to client as assigned

Requirements

- Personal Support Worker (PSW)



certification (Required).
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or in a healthcare setting is an asset.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift and assist client with mobility needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- A valid driver’s license and/or access to a reliable vehicle (preferred but not required).

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
