Meezan School is a non-profit, community-based religious school located in the City of Guelph. Our school provides a comprehensive education for students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 8.

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic full-time homeroom teacher to join our team and help create a creative, engaging, and supportive learning environment for our students this September.

Duties

- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements.
- Teach students using a variety of engaging and interactive instructional methods.
- Assess and evaluate student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to enhance learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviour.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with effective teaching practices.




- Manage the classroom effectively and promote a respectful and positive learning environment.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or related qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and Ontario curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in the classroom.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $21.50 per hour
