Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Instructor / Clinical Educator to join a private health education institution in Mississauga on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in adult echocardiography and an interest in teaching and mentoring future cardiac sonographers.

This position is suitable for an experienced cardiac sonographer looking for a flexible teaching commitment alongsid other professional responsibilities. Previous formal teaching experience is not required.

Duties

- Deliver theoretical and/or hands-on instruction in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography and adult echocardiography.
- Support students in developing practical scanning skills and clinical reasoning.
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to students.
- Review and contribute to course materials, practical assessments, skills checklists, and other instructional resources as needed.
- Assess student progress through practical evaluations, assignments, and other program assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and evaluations as required.
- Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to support program quality and student success.
- Assist with maintaining curriculum and teaching materials consistent with current cardiac sonography practice and program requirements.

Experience & Qualifications





- Must be a qualified Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer with significant experience in adult echocardiography.
- We welcome applications from both currently practicing and retired Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers with strong adult echocardiography experience.
- Current or recent clinical experience in echocardiography is strongly preferred.
- CMRITO registration and/or Sonography Canada CRCS credential preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant cardiac sonography experience preferred.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or precepting sonography students is an asset.
- Previous formal teaching experience is not required.
- Interest in mentoring and supporting students entering the cardiac sonography profession.
- Internationally trained and internationally experienced cardiac sonographers are encouraged to apply. Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is not required; applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Job Type: Part time
Schedule: Flexible, based on course and laboratory requirements
Location: Mississauga, ON
Expected hours: Approximately 4-5 hours per day, with flexibility depending on program needs. Versatile schedule with day shifts and remote/hybrid can be discussed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $35.00-$37.00 per hour
