Job Summary

The Lounge Server is responsible to provide excellent guest service throughout their dining experience, from greetings all the way to bidding farewell.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet guests as soon as they approach the reception area. Apply the 10 – 5 rule
- Seat guests and take initial drink order as needed to ensure ideal speed of service
- Be enthusiastic, outgoing, positive and upbeat. Create a meaningful connection with the guest to ensure memorable experience of the guest
- Provide effective and effective table service for the guests (taking orders, answering any food and beverage related inquiries, explaining daily features, placing orders thru Point Soft)
- Assume the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and use their best judgement as to when it is appropriate.
- Perform quality check after first few bites to ensure satisfaction of the guest




- Maintain a level of 1/3 full beverage for the guest and offer a refill as an opportunity to maximize revenue
- Review the bill to ensure that all items served to the guests are posted, processing bills and taking payments.
- Reset the table as soon as the guests have departed (bussing, sanitizing, organizing and resetting of the table for the next guest)
- Secure day end report and ensure that all modes of payment are matching
- Other related responsibilities and special or ad hoc projects, as assigned.

Qualifications Required

- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or airport operations.
- Must possess proper liquor service certification according to provincial requirements. (Smart Serve)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of customer service, attention to detail
- Communication and writing skills
- Good organizational skills, self-motivated and positive attitude
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solving ability
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high guest volumes.
- teamwork oriented
- Must be able to multitask and plan ahead.
- Good organizational skills.
- High sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- Multilingual skills are an asset.
- Able to obtain Transport Canada clearance for security pass (RAIC) to work at the airport.

Working Conditions





- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Tolerance for working in high-heat environments
- Must be flexible to work weekdays/weekends and statutory holidays
- Must be available to work early morning/day/evening shifts
