Join a unique, high-tech manufacturing team at Weber Manufacturing Technologies! We're looking for a Chemical Process Operator to join our Nickel Vapour Deposition (NVD) crew — a specialized chemical coating process supporting our advanced molding operations.
In this role, you'll be part of a dedicated crew responsible for monitoring the production process and environmental controls within our NVD chemical facility.
The work is hands-on and physical — from preparing molds for processing to operating equipment that packages nickel powder — and combines mechanical process operations with environmental compliance. It's ideal for someone who enjoys precision, active problem solving on the floor, and being part of a tight-knit operational team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare molds for processing and for the next stage of production
- Operate equipment used to process and package nickel powder
- Monitor and operate our Nickel Vapour Deposition chemical process
- Oversee environmental controls and ensure compliance within the facility
- Work collaboratively within a dedicated crew on a rotating shift schedule
- Complete a comprehensive 3-month training program to fully master the process, including safety protocols for working with nickel and other chemical materials
What We're Looking For
- Experience or educational background in a mechanical capacity
- College Diploma or University Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Water/Wastewater Resources
- Chemical safety awareness, particularly around handling nickel and related materials, is an asset
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Comfort working in a technical, process-driven, physically active environment
