About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively coordinate field operations and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential building projects.
- Supervise, schedule, and coordinate site crews, subcontractors, and trades to maintain project timelines.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, contracts, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Review project plans and specifications to verify construction accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and other project resources.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, consultants, and inspectors throughout project execution.
- Maintain daily site reports, construction logs, and project documentation.
- Conduct regular site safety meetings and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve scheduling, quality, and construction issues to minimize project delays.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor project costs and support budget management by identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved efficiently.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- 5-10 years of progressive building construction experience, including at least 3 years in a Superintendent or supervisory role.
- Experience managing large-scale commercial, institutional, industrial,
or multi-unit residential construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of building construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, construction specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
- Experience with scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Thorough understanding of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards.

Working Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Rotational schedules may be required depending on project needs.
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in remote locations as needed.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
