Software Business Analyst & Product QA Specialist – SaaS
*** Please do not apply unless you have professional experience analyzing business processes and translating them into requirements for software development.
This is NOT a project coordination or administrative Business Analyst position. You will be expected to personally analyze problems, design software solutions, write detailed requirements, and test completed features.
This is a full-time, in-office position in Calgary, Alberta. ***
About Tech To U Inc.
Tech To U develops specialized SaaS software products for niche markets across North America.
Our flagship product, GlassManager, is business management software designed specifically for glass companies. It helps customers manage quoting, scheduling, purchasing, jobs, invoicing, customer management, and other critical workflows.
We are investing heavily in our products and development team. Our goal is not simply to keep up with competitors — we intend to build the best software in our markets.
The Role
You will work between customers, Customer Success, Management, and our Software Development team to turn real business problems into exceptional software.
You will be involved throughout the process:
Business Analysis → Software Design → Requirements → Development → Testing → Release
Responsibilities
- Learn how glass companies operate and understand their business workflows in detail
- Meet with customers and internal teams to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation
- Determine the underlying business problem instead of simply documenting requested features
- Design software workflows and solutions that make customers more efficient
- Create detailed requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
- Identify edge cases before development begins
- Analyze competitors, especially Glazier Software, and recommend ways GlassManager can provide a better solution
- Work closely with developers while features are being built
- Thoroughly test new features and complete business workflows
- Identify bugs, usability problems, missing scenarios, and incomplete functionality
- Help prioritize features, bugs, and development work
- Help maintain the development backlog in Asana
- Assist our Software Team Lead with development planning and coordination
- Work with Customer Success and Support to turn recurring customer problems into product improvements
What We Are Looking For
- Professional experience as a Software Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner, Systems Analyst, QA Analyst, or similar role
- Strong experience analyzing business processes
- Experience creating software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Software testing / QA experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written communication and documentation
- Comfortable working directly with software developers
- Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through
- Able to independently take a problem from discovery through completed solution
Nice to Have
- B2B SaaS experience
- ERP, CRM, construction, manufacturing, field-service, or business-management software experience
- UI/UX or wireframing experience
- SQL or technical software knowledge
- Glass or construction industry experience
- Experience using AI tools for analysis, design, documentation, or testing
The Type of Person Who Will Succeed Here
You will enjoy this role if you like understanding how businesses really work, asking detailed questions, solving difficult workflow problems, finding things others miss, and taking ownership from beginning to end.
If your normal approach is to gather information from other people and pass it along for someone else to solve, this is not the right position for you.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$42.50 per hour
Benefits:
- Company events
- Dental care
- Extended health care
- Life insurance
- In office parking

- If selected, when would you be able to start?
- Have you personally written software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that were subsequently implemented by developers?

Experience:
- professional software testing / QA: 2 years (required)
- analyzing business processes and creating requirements: 2 years (required)
