Workforce Inc. is seeking skilled Sample Preparation Technicians to support a valued client in the Timmins area.

Responsibilities:

- Log in underground samples (Drill Core, Muck, Chip, Test Hole samples)
- Notify Lead Assayer (or designate) of any extra or missing samples compared with sample submittal sheets
- Sample Receiving, Organizing and drying of samples, labeling sample bags as per sample tags
- Crushing, splitting, pulverizing samples
- Ensures all equipment related to Sample Prep is in good working order and notifies Lead
- Assayer of any concerns, equipment failures and/or deviations
- Notifies Lead Assayer of any discrepancies with samples and Chain of Custody
- Perform Screen tests on pulverized product and crushed product at the beginning of shift and when required
- Replace jaw plates and cheek plates when particle size requirements are not met
- Wash sample pans to prevent cross contamination
- Prioritize samples to be prepped as per Lead Assayer
- Proper sample storage and disposal of pulps and rejects.




- Accurately recording/documenting sample tags with sample bags.
- Assists in weighing/ mixing samples under supervision or when signed off to do so, as required
- Other duties that may be asked by Lead Assayer, and Chief Assayer

Requirements:

- Must be physically fit
- Ability to work safely alone and in a team setting
- Must have good communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Self motivated
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable transportation
- Previous experience in a mining lab setting in an asset

Pay Rate: $26.96

Schedule: 5/5/4, 12 hour shifts
