Duties

- Safely operate school buses along designated routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of students, seniors, or community members
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and mechanical readiness before each shift
- Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking, providing friendly support especially to children or seniors with special needs
- Maintain order on the bus by enforcing safety rules and managing passenger behavior positively
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, school staff, or coordinators regarding route updates or safety concerns
- Complete all required logs, reports, and documentation related to daily operations and incidents




- Perform routine mechanical checks and report any vehicle issues promptly to ensure ongoing safety

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsements
- Experience working with children or seniors is highly preferred
- Multilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus to serve diverse communities
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers, colleagues, and supervisors
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle inspections and troubleshooting
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and traffic laws diligently
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous for engaging with a broader passenger base
