Equation Staffing is currently hiring a Production/Manufacturing Supervisor for our client in the pallet repair and manufacturing industry. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently met.

- Wage: $30.00/hr
- Rotational SHift: 5:00 am to 1:30pm / 330pm to 12:00am (Monday to Friday)

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor oversees daily pallet repair operations, ensuring production schedules are met and products meet required quality standards. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, monitoring workflow, implementing process improvements, and maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate is a strong, hands-on leader with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a fast-paced and dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily pallet repair operations to ensure production efficiency and goal achievement
- Supervise, train, and mentor production staff to ensure protected and effective performance
- Conduct employee performance evaluations and provide coaching or corrective action when required
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet operational targets and deadlines
- Monitor workflow and resolve bottlenecks, equipment issues, and production delays
- Ensure all output meets required quality standards and customer specifications
- Enforce compliance with environmental, waste management, and company policies
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Track, analyze, and report production data to support operational decision-making
- Manage inventory of materials, tools, and equipment
- Enforce Alberta OHS and WHMIS safety standards across all operations
- Maintain explicit communication with other departments to support operational flow




- Provide regular production updates and performance reports to management
- Maintain accurate records of production output, safety incidents, and operational metrics
- Other duties as assigned

QualificationsEducation

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

- 3–5 years in a manufacturing or production environment
- Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Experience managing production schedules, staff supervision, and process improvements
- Knowledge of inventory control and quality assurance practices

Skills & Competencies

- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with production management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong understanding of Alberta OHS regulations and WHMIS standards
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

- Frequent movement throughout the plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs or ladders
- Work in environments with noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 85 lbs on a regular basis
- Exposure to heavy machinery, conveyor systems, and forklift traffic
- Occasional travel for training, site visits, or meetings
- Seasonal temperature fluctuations within the work environment
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, as required

Pay: $30.00 per hour
