We are seeking a Litigation Lawyer with expertise in tax law to assist our legal team on a matter. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a fee assessment on an account.
Duties
- Handle and advise on taxation of legal accounts and cost assessments.
- Review and assess legal accounts, dockets, disbursements, and supporting documentation.
- Conduct legal research regarding costs, solicitor-client accounts, assessments, and applicable rules and jurisprudence.
- Liase with clients, opposing party, and staff.
- Provide practical advice and input on legal accounts and cost assessments.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and valid license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction
- Required experience in trust accounting and litigation. (min. 5 years)
- Exceptional analytical thinking combined with proactive problem-solving abilities
