Job Summary

As a Rehabilitation Assistant , you will be responsible for shared administrative support functions in a team environment as well as responsible for assisting the Physiotherapists with their caseload.

Duties

- Assist licensed therapists with patient setup, and mobility exercises to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions
- Prepare treatment rooms by organizing equipment, supplies, and educational materials needed for therapy sessions
- Support infection control protocols by cleaning and disinfecting equipment and treatment areas regularly
- Help coordinate scheduling and communicate with patients regarding appointments and treatment plans
- Act as a liaison between the client and the Physiotherapist
- Assist with the Physiotherapist’s caseloads
- Process and perform clerical audits for discharged patient charts
- Maintain a presentable/organized clinic and ensure that the gym area is free of obvious safety hazards
- Administrative tasks, including answering phones, processing supply orders and photocopying documents

Skills

- A Kinesiology degree or PTA/OTA diploma




- Prior experience in rehabilitation environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and document patient information
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with patients
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic clinical environment
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize patient safety at all times
- Active engagement in continuous learning about rehabilitation practices and patient care techniques

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
