Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, and other machinery with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience with trenching and underground utilities
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Assist with repairs and troubleshooting minor mechanical problems when necessary.
- Support site preparation activities by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting up work zones.
- Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation hours, maintenance schedules, and safety checks.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, or loaders.
- Knowledge of water and sewer systems
- Valid commercial driver’s license (class 1 or class 3) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
- Physical stamina and attention to detail necessary for demanding work environments.
