Welder / Fabricator - Penticton, BC

Our client is an established sheet metal manufacturing and fabrication company based in Penticton, British Columbia. Responsibilities

- Fabricate and assemble aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel components using schematics, technical drawings, and job instructions.
- Perform GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
- Operate CNC cutting equipment, shears, press brakes, machining tools, and powered hand tools.
- Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy, compliance with codes, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot fabrication, equipment, and production issues using mechanical knowledge.

Qualifications

- At least one year of welding experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
- Experience with GTAW/TIG and GMAW/MIG welding, with a preference for aluminum welding.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions.
- Knowledge of fabrication equipment, welding standards, and shop safety practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Welding certification or vocational training is considered an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
