We are adding to our team! We are looking for a skilled welder/fitter that is looking to lay down some roots, a positive individual, with hands on experience in a Custom Metal Fabricating Facility. If you are a team player who has a strong background in fitting & welding various materials and can read blueprints then this position is for you!

This is a day-shift role working 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties and responsibilities

- Read, analyze and interpret blueprints to plan layout and procedures.
- Fabricate and weld according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Lay out and fit parts to ensure accurate tolerances and quality standards.
- Utilize measuring tools to ensure exact dimensions
- Weld in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
- Operate equipment professionally and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Rig components for welding operations
- Move between tasks and equipment as needed.

Requirements

- Experience in custom metal fabrication, using a variety of equipment and procedures.
- GMAW (MIG)



of mild and stainless steels.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Regulations, and the ability to communicate and ensure compliance with said Regulations.
- Advanced communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program or a CWB certification.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Starting wage for this role is in the range of $28.00 to $32.00 per hour based on experience. Heidelberg Metal Inc. provides a comprehensive company paid benefit package upon completion of the probationary period.
