OTC Landscaping is hiring an experienced Lawn Maintenance Crew Lead for a long-term position. We are looking for a reliable, accountable qualified who takes pride in quality work, efficiency, and equipment care.

This is not a short-term position. We are building a strong team and expect professionalism, consistency, and strong attendance.

Position Overview

The successful candidate must have their own reliable vehicle to transport themselves to and from our Barrie yard daily.

You will drive a company pickup truck and trailer to scheduled residential properties and complete lawn maintenance routes to company standards.

You are primarily responsible for lawn cutting. This position is not limited to operating a ride-on mower — the role requires operating self-propelled push mowers as well. The Crew Lead must be prepared for physically active outdoor work throughout the day.

While a second team member handles most trimming, the Crew Lead is expected to trim, weed gardens, and operate a backpack blower as necessary to ensure properties are completed properly.

This role includes participation in spring cleanups in April and fall cleanups in November, with opportunity for winter maintenance work for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Drive pickup truck and trailer safely and responsibly




- Operate self-propelled push mowers and ride-on zero turn mowers
- Trim, weed, and operate backpack blower as required
- Complete routes efficiently and to quality standards
- Complete daily 360° safety inspections and log book checklists
- Maintain equipment (blade sharpening, cleaning, routine upkeep)
- Assist with minor equipment repairs (training provided)
- Maintain clean, professional job sites at all times

Employment Details

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years property maintenance experience (grass cutting required)
- Experience operating push and ride-on zero turn mowers
- Physically capable of active outdoor work
- Valid driver’s license with clean record
- Comfortable towing a trailer
- Reliable transportation to and from yard
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Zero tolerance for unexcused missed days
- References required
- CSA-approved work boots (employee provided)
- Safety glasses required on job sites
