Cleaning Supervisor

NewGen Cleaning Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to oversee janitorial operations at a major educational institution in the Nanaimo and Cowichan Valley areas of British Columbia.

Compensation

- $25.00 per hour

Schedule

- Primarily afternoon, evening, and after-hours shifts
- Weekend availability may be required based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support a team of Cleaning Technicians
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to contract requirements
- Coordinate staffing schedules and daily work assignments
- Train and onboard new employees
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Respond to client requests and concerns in a qualified manner
- Complete inspection reports, timesheets, and other administrative documentation
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies

Qualifications





- Previous supervisory experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility services
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient with smartphones, email, and basic computer applications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Criminal Record Check may be required

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supervising cleaning operations in schools, colleges, universities, or large commercial facilities
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, and industry best practices
- Health and safety training or certifications are considered an asset
