To support our continued growth and deliver outstanding customer experiences, we are looking for a Second-Year Mechanic Apprentice to join our team in Edmonton.

Job Summary:

The Apprentice Mechanic will assist with inspections, diagnostics, and basic repairs while developing technical skills, learning workshop procedures, and building a foundation for a career in automotive service. Strong teamwork, a willingness to learn, and attention to safety are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Assistance:

- Assist senior mechanics with routine vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Learn to perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, brake inspections, battery replacements, and filter changes.
- Support in engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical system diagnostics and repairs under supervision.

Diagnostic and Technical Skills Development:

- Learn to use diagnostic tools, scanners, and specialized equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex problems and observe proper repair techniques.
- Gain hands-on experience with both traditional mechanical systems and contemporary computerized vehicle systems.

Workshop Organization and Safety:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment correctly.
- Properly handle tools, equipment, and hazardous materials according to company and legal standards.

Parts and Inventory Management:





- Learn to select the correct replacement parts and materials for various repair tasks.
- Report damaged, defective, or missing tools and components to senior staff.

Customer Service and Communication:

- Observe and learn professional customer interaction, including explaining repairs and maintenance procedures.
- Assist in documenting service history and vehicle repair records accurately.
- Precautions taken to ensure the protection of Customer Property

Training and Skill Development:

- Participate in formal training programs, workshops, and on-the-job learning.
- Demonstrate initiative by learning new repair techniques, technologies, and safety standards.
- Work toward achieving certification or qualification as a fully licensed mechanic.

Safety: Follow all safety guideline and operational procedures in accordance to safe work and operating procedures

Working Conditions:

- Work is primarily performed in a garage or workshop environment.
- Frequent exposure to vehicle fluids, dust, noise, and fumes.
- Regular physical activity, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in awkward positions.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment on a daily basis.
- Flexible schedule may be required to meet workshop operational demands, including evenings or weekends.
- Adherence to strict safety standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Support team operations and complete other tasks as assigned.

All Apprentice Mechanics are expected to maintain high standards of teamwork, demonstrate accountability through sound judgment, and consistently meet the performance expectations established within the shop environment.
