At Musora, we're on a mission to create a world where everyone can play music. Right now, we’re looking for someone to fill a new role at Musora: Head of Music Licensing. You will Lead the future of music licensing at Musora. Building our music licensing function from the ground up, negotiating agreements, shaping strategy, building the team, and creating the systems that enable us to use music creatively, responsibly, and at scale.

What You’ll Do (Key Duties):

- Own all aspects of digital music licensing for Musora, across sync, mechanical, performance, graphical, and related rights.

- Negotiate, structure, and manage licenses with a wide range of rights holders: publishers, PROs, CMOs, labels, and more globally.

- Partner closely with existing teams — Media, Education, Finance, Data, and Legal — to ensure clear, compliant use of music across our platform, social channels, and other products.

- Design and implement internal systems for rights management, music use, royalty reporting, and usage transparency.

- Build financial models and engagement reports to support negotiations and enable clean, consistent royalty payouts.

- Establish a long-term licensing strategy that scales with the company and aligns with our roadmap.





- Manage and evolve existing relationships with key industry partners, you’ll be handed the baton for those, and expected to grow them.

- Hire and lead a licensing team as the company scales and expands globally.

What We’re Looking For (Who you are; skills, knowledge, abilities and more!):

- Experience in digital music licensing, ideally in publishing, rights management, or with a DSP (Digital Service Provider), label, or music tech company.

- Ability to strongly grasp the full spectrum of global music rights — sync, mechanical, publishing, master, performance, and graphical.

- Able to negotiate with major publishers,

- Ability to model, analyze and present licensing proposals.

- Deeply collaborative and thrive in cross-functional work — being the go-between for legal, content, data, marketing, and finance.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills

- Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
