VAC Developments Ltd is a Canadian Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Company. We are looking for experienced CNC Lathe Supervisor to join our team and help lead our team of employees. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assigning tasks, maintaining employee schedules, reviewing specifications of various products, finding ways to improve efficiency, troubleshooting machine issues, and assisting with repairs.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise Machinists and their work, and assign duties as necessary, making sure their work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety and quality.
- Perform the machining operations, watch for problems in the production process, and check the accuracy of the finished piece against drawings using calibrated measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot in plant in order to discover potential hazards or breakdown.
- Stay current on machining technology by learning new techniques and learn how to operate new machines and evaluate employee performance.
- Sets up machines and equipment such as: Mazak, Matsuura, Haas, 3-5 Axis.
- Request tools & raw material required to meet production goals.
- Train personnel which includes developing the method of training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.




- Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with co-workers and other departments.
- Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions to problems.
- Maintain a safe work environment for employees.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 5-10 years’ machine shop operations experience with more than +3 years of supervision (or group leader) experience. Aerospace experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerances (G. D. & T.) required.
