As an Area Manager, reporting to the Operations Manager, you will supervise the cleaning and services of an assigned area to maintain company and customer quality standards.

Your work will include:

- Meet regularly with building managers to ensure cleaning expectations are met and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular Quality Assurance inspections.
- Evaluate the performance of the cleaning staff and recommend changes.
- Schedule replacement for unexpected staff absences.
- Conduct training and retraining for new and existing employees.
- Promote safety awareness at all work locations.
- Conduct regular safety meetings with the employees.
- Perform annual Health & Safety building inspections.

Who are looking for?

- 5+ years of experience managing in the janitorial industry;
- Strong supervisory and people management skills;




- Demonstrated commitment to build and maintain a strong team and customer service-oriented organization;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse environment with flexibility and composure;
- Computer proficiency, e-mail, and cell phone;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including those required to create reports, conduct meetings, and train personnel;
- Ability to Multitask effectively;
- Knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and WHMIS 2015;
- Must possess a current and valid Full G Class Ontario Driver’s License;
- Clean driving abstract.

Other information:

- Must have the ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays and shifts as assigned, as well as work at multiple locations IF NEEDED.
- Must carry a company cell phone at all times and be available to respond to emergencies or critical situations outside of regular business days and hours.
- Operate/drive company vehicles equipped with a GPS monitoring system.
- Benefits are provided after the probation period.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $17.60-$18.50 per hour
