Position Overview:

The Senior Systems Business Analyst responsible for bridging business needs and technology solutions. This position leads requirements analysis for complex initiatives, translates business objectives into system requirements, supports solution design, and partners closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and delivery partners to ensure solutions are effective, scalable, and aligned to organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the identification, analysis, documentation, and validation of business, functional, and system requirements for projects, enhancements, and production support initiatives, ensuring requirements remain current and traceable throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable system requirements, including functional specifications, business rules, process flows, data mappings, and interface requirements.
- Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to assess current-state processes, identify gaps and root causes, define future-state requirements, and recommend practical system-based solutions.




- Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather, clarify, and validate requirements, while assessing impacts across applications, data flows, integrations, and downstream processes.
- Perform system, process, and data analysis to support solution design, impact assessments, defect investigation, and resolution of data quality issues.
- Develop and maintain key analysis artifacts, including process maps, data flows, use cases, gap analyses, data mapping documents, and test scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, QA, and other technology partners to clarify requirements, support solution design, and ensure delivered functionality aligns with agreed specifications.
- Coordinate and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, test scenario development, defect triage, results validation, and issue resolution.
- Support implementation and post-production activities by assisting with release readiness, production validation, issue management, and transition to ongoing business and technical support.
- Manage business-as-usual system change requests by assessing business and system impacts, documenting requirements, supporting prioritization, and coordinating delivery of effective solutions.
- Provide regular updates to project leadership on requirements status, risks, issues, dependencies, and items requiring escalation.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for supported systems and applications, while mentoring peers and assisting business users with application-related questions and process clarification.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

- Undergraduate degree in a technology-related discipline such as Computer Science,



Information Technology, or Information Systems.
- 5–7 years of experience in systems analysis, business systems analysis, or a related role supporting business and technology initiatives.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements

- Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, systems analysis, process modelling, data analysis, and solution delivery.
- Solid understanding of business processes and end-to-end system delivery, including analysis, design support, testing, implementation, and production support.
- Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong ability to document business, functional, and system requirements in a clear, concise, and testable manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and manage expectations across cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of data analysis, process mapping, system integrations, and application impacts.
- Experience using Power BI to support reporting, analysis, and business insight generation.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and effective time management.
- Strong client service focus and commitment to delivering responsive, high-quality support.

Job Specific Competencies:

- The base salary range for this position is between $84,000 - $126,000 dependent on relevant experience.
