The work

We're a high-volume repair shop in Orléans. Devices arrive dead, damaged, or behaving strangely, and your job is to find out why and fix it — at the board level, with no build sheet, no reference unit, and no rework instructions telling you which component failed.

This is not PCB assembly. If your background is building boards from BOMs and drawings, this role will not be a fit, however clean your joints are. We're looking for diagnostic repair.

What you'll do

- Diagnose board-level faults using schematics, boardviews, and structured troubleshooting
- Microsoldering and SMT rework down to fine-pitch and 0402/0201 packages
- BGA removal, reballing, and replacement (GPUs, APUs, bridge chips)
- Repair lifted pads, severed traces, and damaged connectors to IPC-7711/7721 practice
- Replace ports, ICs, connectors, and passives on customer hardware
- Isolate shorts using current injection, thermal imaging, and rail analysis
- Validate repairs under load with bench supplies, meters, and scopes
- Inspect your own work to IPC-A-610 Class 2 acceptability before it ships
- Document faults found, work performed, and parts consumed





What we're looking for

- Demonstrable board-level repair experience — repair shop, service centre, or equivalent independent work
- Comfortable with a hot air rework station and a microscope as daily tools
- Can read a boardview and follow a rail from symptom to source
- Fine-pitch SMT rework experience; BGA experience is a strong asset
- Console and controller repair experience is a strong asset
- IPC certification (A-610, J-STD-001, or 7711/7721) is an asset, not a requirement - we care more about what you can show us
- Steady output under real repair volume without shortcuts
