OT by PG is a pediatric occupational therapy practice providing services to children and families in their natural environments, including homes, schools, and community settings across Calgary and area. We take a play-based, functional, and family-centred approach, supporting children to meaningfully participate in daily life while empowering parents and caregivers.
Our practice supports families accessing services through FSCD, private pay, and insurance funding, and values collaboration, clinical integrity, and practical, real-world outcomes.
Position Overview
OT by PG is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Independent Contractor) to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for an OT who enjoys community-based pediatric work, values flexibility, and is comfortable managing their caseload with administrative support.
You will work both directly with children and collaboratively with families and other professionals, focusing on functional participation, skill development, and caregiver coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric occupational therapy services focused on functional outcomes
- Complete assessments and deliver intervention in:
- Homes
- Schools
- Community environments
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based intervention plans
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the child’s care
- Provide coaching, education,
and modelling of strategies for families and aides
- Supervise and support therapy assistants and/or behavioural aides as required
- Complete clinical documentation in accordance with:
- OT by PG policies
- ACOT standards
- FSCD documentation requirements (as applicable)
- Travel to client locations within Calgary and surrounding areas
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
- Experience working with children (pediatric experience required; autism/developmental experience is an asset)
- Strong clinical reasoning, organization, and communication skills
- Comfortable working in community and home-based settings
- Availability for some after-school hours
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Professional liability insurance
