We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing organization in the consumer products, manufacturing, and distribution sector. Reporting directly to the Divisional Controller, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of full-cycle accounting activities while working closely with operations, inventory, sales, and leadership teams.This is a hands-on role for a CPA who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and understanding the business behind the numbers.What You'll Be Doing
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed asset accounting, and account reconciliations.
- Analyze and investigate financial variances and recommend solutions.
- Support inventory accounting, valuation, adjustments, cycle counts, and variance investigations.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Assist with gross margin, sales, costing, and operational financial analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, IT, Warehouse, and Quality teams to resolve accounting and data issues.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with customer deductions, rebates, chargebacks, commission reporting, and related analysis.
- Identify process improvements, control enhancements, and opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Provide support during audits, reporting deadlines, and peak workload periods.
What You Bring
Required:
- CPA designation (Canada).
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, CPG, branded products, or other inventory-focused environments.
- Strong full-cycle accounting experience.
- Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
- Strong understanding of ASPE and/or IFRS.
- ERP experience and confidence working within complex systems.
- Experience supporting external audits.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Preferred:
- SAP experience.
- Experience with inventory accounting and costing.
- Customer deductions, rebates, chargebacks, or commission reporting experience.
- Budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Sales tax compliance experience.

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys digging into issues, identifying root causes, and finding practical solutions. You are naturally curious, highly organized, comfortable working independently, and able to communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams.
Please note: This is not a junior accountant, AP, AR, or bookkeeping position. Candidates should have direct experience with full-cycle accounting in a multi-entity environment and be comfortable supporting inventory and operational accounting processes.
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000 - $95,000 annual salary
