Position: Body Shop Apprentice

Location: Hamilton, ON

Department: Body Shop

Hourly Wage: $17.60 - $22.00/hr

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Body Shop Apprentice to join our growing collision team. Reporting to the Body Shop Manager and working alongside experienced technicians, this role provides hands-on experience across a wide range of auto body repair tasks while continuing to build technical skills.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in auto body repair, a willingness to learn, and the drive to take on increasing responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for an apprentice looking to advance their career in a rapid-paced, high-quality repair environment with strong mentorship and development support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in repairing damaged vehicle bodies to restore them to pre-accident condition




- Support detailed vehicle inspections to assess damage and repair requirements
- Perform prep work including sanding, masking, and panel preparation
- Assist with panel removal, replacement, and alignment
- Support welding and structural repair work under supervision
- Follow all quality control standards and repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Registered Apprentice (Level 2 or Level 3) in Auto Body Repair
- Previous hands-on experience in a body shop environment
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools
- Exposure to welding and structural repair is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

- Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively within a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
