The Role : Order Specialist

We are hiring an Order Specialist to join our global sourcing and supply team in our Brampton, Ontario office. This primarily on-site replacement role offers the opportunity to play a key part in keeping customer orders, supplier communication, and supply chain activity moving smoothly. Reporting to the Manager, Sourcing and Supply (Asia), you will work closely with Sales, Sales Support, Logistics, suppliers, and internal partners while developing valuable exposure to global supply operations and future sourcing activities. This role suits someone who thrives on site, stays organized, and builds strong relationships across teams, suppliers, and time zones.

What You’ll Do

Manage purchase order administration, order entry, tracking, and related documentation.

- Work with Sales and Sales Support on order processing, container configuration, and order status updates.
- Review sales and purchase order information, identify errors, and make corrections.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics, sourcing, and quality teams to support product fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Maintain product, logistics, and costing information, including costing sheets and quotation support.
- Support customer service inquiries by clarifying requirements and providing accurate information.




- Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support effective communication and issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, accuracy, internal processes, supplier partnerships, and collaboration across the supply chain.
- Provide backup support, contribute to process improvement initiatives, and assist sourcing and supply teams with supplier research, market information gathering, and special projects as required.

What You Bring

- Completion of relevant post-secondary education, ideally in supply chain, procurement, engineering, business, or a related field, along with 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical, with strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative, customer-focused, and naturally curious, with the ability to manage priorities and understand products, suppliers, and how businesses operate in a dynamic work environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Office 365, including strong Excel skills.

Nice to Have

- Experience in millwork, lumber, building materials, import, distribution, or a related industry.




- Experience with Epicor BisTrack or a similar ERP system.
- Additional language capability is a definite asset, including Mandarin or another Asian language, Portuguese, French, or Spanish.

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $48,000.00 to $55,000.00 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and internal considerations. An alternate salary may be considered depending on level of experience at the time of offer.
