Registered Pharmacy Technician
*6 month contract*

Markham, ON

Scheduled between the hours of Monday to Friday 8am – 9pm (will work 40 hours per week)

- 365 day operation (STAT holiday work is compensated)
- Weekend requirement: must work 1 weekend per month

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00/hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs and documents all activities of dispensing medication
- Dispenses prescription medication after pharmacist clinical check
- Confirms accuracy, completeness, and final check of compounded sterile product and non-compounded medications prepared for release
- Ensures appropriate supplies ordered based on patient specific medical order and accurate data entry prior to release of prescription
- Ensures compliance with federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations, Policies and Procedures (P&P;) and accrediting body standards (Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP), Bureau Veritas (ISO))

Requirements:

- Pharmacy Technician Certificate/Diploma from an accredited institution is required
- Experience in sterile compounding or equivalent work experience is an asset
- Experience in a busy community pharmacy setting or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred
