Alberta Therapy Co. is a multidisciplinary healthcare practice providing evidence-based, client-centred services to children, youth, and families. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered or Registered Provisional Psychologist with a strong interest in pediatric practice and supporting children with diverse developmental, communication, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities:

- Provide individual, family, and/or group psychological services to children and youth with a range of developmental, neurological, behavioural, and mental health needs.
- Support children with diverse disabilities, including children who are non-speaking or who communicate using AAC and other forms of communication.
- Use developmentally appropriate, play-based, and evidence-informed approaches to engage children and families.
- Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Behavioural Consultants, educators, physicians, and other professionals.
- Provide consultation, education, and coaching to parents, caregivers, educators, and other members of the child’s support team.
- Adapt assessment and intervention approaches to meet each child’s communication, sensory, cognitive, developmental, and behavioural needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case consultations, team meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications

- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, or Educational).
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Experience working with children, youth, and families in a clinical setting.




- Experience supporting children with developmental disabilities and complex support needs.
- Experience working with neurodivergent children and individuals with diverse communication needs is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting non-speaking children, AAC users, or children with significant communication differences is an asset.
- Strong clinical skills in psychological assessment, treatment planning, goal formulation, and intervention.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, with experience using play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Ability to adapt clinical approaches to meet individual needs and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, neuroaffirming, and client-centred practice.
- Current criminal record check and professional liability insurance.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Evening availability
- Weekends as needed

Pay: Up to $135.00 per hour
