Apex Company Inc. is a construction and property services company delivering residential and commercial renovation, repair, and restoration projects throughout Ottawa and across Ontario. We are expanding our roster of general contractors.

This is a role for established contractors only. Applicants without demonstrable experience running their own crews and completing projects independently will not be considered. Please do not apply if you cannot provide references and recent project examples.

Travel requirement

This role requires willingness to travel for out-of-town projects across Ontario. Accommodation and meals are fully covered by Apex for the duration of any project outside the Ottawa region. Travel assignments are scheduled in advance, and durations are communicated before mobilization so you can plan accordingly. Applicants who are unable or unwilling to travel should not apply.

You arrive to a defined scope, a confirmed schedule, and materials on site.

Experience we're looking for





We engage contractors across a broad range of scopes and will match work to your strengths:

- Framing, carpentry, and general interior renovation
- Kitchen and bathroom renovation
- Decks, stairs, and exterior repair
- Roofing, siding, and flashing
- Drywall, tile, painting, and finishing
- Foundation and structural repair, drainage, and waterproofing
- Concrete, masonry, and site work

Contractors with foundation and structural capability are of particular interest, though we have consistent volume across all of the above.

Requirements

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing your own crews and projects
- Verifiable references and a portfolio of completed work
- WSIB coverage and general liability insurance in positive standing
- Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and full complement of tools
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Ontario, with accommodation and meals provided
- Ability to work to a written scope, read drawings, and document progress
- Professional conduct on occupied and client-facing sites
