Mil-Aero Electronics Atlantic Inc. (Mil-Aero), now in its 25th year of operation in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is an Indigenous, female-owned build-to-print manufacturer of cable/wire harnesses, electromechanical enclosures and power distribution units for Aerospace and Defense customers. We have a solid track record of delivering best-value, high-quality harnesses, on time.

For the past 10 years Mil-Aero has been growing at a 18.4% compound annual growth rate. To maintain this growth level, we are investing significantly in our future. With the commitment of increased defense spending by our federal government, and recent contracts with customers, we are currently investing in the expansion of our facilities, new equipment, software/systems and people.

As part of our growth, we are currently seeking Harness Assembly Technicians.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Harness Assembly Technicians to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing cable and wire harness assembly tasks in accordance with written instructions, technical drawings, process documentation, IPC-A-610/620 reference materials, Mil-Aero Quality Standards, and production schedules. This role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, sound workmanship, and the ability to accurately follow instructions in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Duties

- Assemble electrical harnesses/cables by following detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions




- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to accurately cut, strip, crimp, and connect wires and components
- Interpret technical schematics and electrical wiring diagrams to ensure proper assembly procedures are followed
- Verify the accuracy of assemblies using calipers and other measurement tools to meet precise specifications
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes

Experience

- Strong experience with wiring, schematics interpretation, and electrical testing methods
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining, component fitting, and assembly techniques
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with reading schematics and working from technical drawings or wiring diagrams
- Experience in manufacturing environments involving harness or cable assembly is preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards
