Richmond Jewish Day School is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as part of our Afterschool Care Program Staff. As an Afterschool Care Program Staff member, you will have the opportunity to work with children, educate and inspire them in a supportive and engaging environment. If you have a passion for early childhood education, this position may be perfect for you. The position is a part time position, Monday to Friday, 3:30pm-5:30pm at our school campus and salary range is $18-$22.50/hr based on experience. We are looking to fill this position immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of educational programs and activities for children
- Provide support and guidance to students during activities
- Collaborate with other staff to create a positive and safe environment
- Assist with tutoring and homework help as needed
- Monitor student behavior and ensure a safe and inclusive space
- Maintain accurate records attendance and incident reporting
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
